What makes us different?

Hanksville Hot Rods is a full-time shop employing experienced fabricators, with a large investment in programmable mandrel tube bending and fabrication equipment. These capabilities allow us to build very high-quality, great-fitting exhausts and roll cages at reasonable prices with terrific customer service and quick turn-around times.

Some places build roll cages as a sideline, between their mechanical or suspension projects. At Hanksville Hot Rods, fabricating high-quality, race-proven cages is not a side business - it's a core service that we perform every day. In fact, we have worked-on 200 cages over the past 6 years! So, we have extensive experience with road race, drag race and land speed rules. Check out our cage projects pages to see pictures of our recent work.

Our other core service is custom mandrel-bent exhausts. Any muffler shop can crush-bend an exhaust, and some will cut-and-splice mandrel bends to make a Frankenstein-looking exhaust with too many weld seams. At Hanksville Hot Rods, we have our own true mandrel tube bender, so we can custom-mandrel-bend your exhaust so that it will flow better, have fewer weld seams, and will fit great. Many of our exhausts are MIG-welded, or you can choose to have us TIG-weld your exhaust for show-quality. Aluminized mild steel or stainless steel. That’s why all our mandrel-bent exhausts and roll cages are custom-made, in-house, for each customer.

Yes, we have an in-house mandrel bender!

Our in-house mandrel bender allows us to offer high-quality bends without the crushes and kinks that you would get from a regular muffler-shop bender. Our tube benders are programmable and numeric-controlled, providing accurate bends with a high level of repeatability. What does all of this mean? Custom Fabrication at a reasonable price.

In addition to custom mandrel bending, we provide tube cutting, expanding/flaring and bead rolling services. We also stock and sell a large variety of mild steel, chrom-moly and stainless tube and mandrel bends for your exhaust, header and cage fabrication needs.
