Spec Z Cage Projects

NASA Spec
Z is poised for big growth, with very capable drivers, shops and sponsors joining the class. We were very happy to build cages for two 350Zs run by Velocity Motorsports in the Denver area. This experience, along with our programmable bender and production-quality tube notcher, has given us the ability to build very tight-fitting and strong cages for these cars. Dave's Spec Z

Just as we were finishing the first Spec Z cage for Velocity Motorsports, they brought Dave's 350Z to us to for a similar cage. The cage in this car is not as extensive and the one in Velocity Motorsports' blue car, but it still features a very tight fit and optional bars such as a dash bar, footwell connectors, a diagonal roof bar, and a driver-side rocker bar.

The door bars extend into the door areas to provide as much space as possible for the driver and passenger. This cage uses 1.75" x .120" 4130 chrom-moly tube, and all of the tube joints are TIG-welded.
